Peaking at No 4 in the iTunes Rock Chart with their first single 'Please Don't Share Your Kisses' in Dec 2010, Tunbridge Wells rock act Intraverse made their debut at the world's leading rock event, Download Festival this summer. This year the band have also been busy in the studio working with esteemed producer John Mitchell (You Me At Six, Enter Shikari, Funeral For a Friend) recording tracks towards their debut album. Picking up interest and acclaim from Kerrang, Metro newspapers, and BBC Introducing; accomplished guitarist Andy Vickery was also profiled in Total Guitar magazine as 'one of the most gifted young guitar players around'. UK festival performances have also seen the band grace the Guilfest Rocksound Stage, Redfest, Lounge on the Farm, and appeared as main support to guitar legend Gary Moore (R.I.P) as part of his tour.

Clockworks

A 3-piece rock outfit with a difference; This Brighton/Tunbridge Wells based trio have achieved a definitive rock sound and developed impressive songwriting ability in the time it takes most bands to choose a name. The Clockworks sound is innovative and current and whilst they quote influences ranging from Coldplay to Fall Out Boy to Muse, they've carved out a sound of their own. The lyrics are sincere and the music is catchy without being petulant or tedious. Frontman Joshua Renton has a unique voice that leaves you aching for more with each high note.Their debut 8 track album, 'Swings and Roundabouts', produced and recorded by the band, is an incredible tribute to their originality, hard work and seemingly endless well of talent. It has the sonic impact typically found on American productions whilst the songwriting has a distinctly British feel. Stand out tracks 'Ring the Bells,' 'Last Days' and 'Fairytales' reveal the band's anthemic side and will get any audience out of it's collective seat. Tracks like 'Always' and 'Roundabouts' show a more understated, emotive side to their brand of rock giving the album commercial appeal on par with bands like The Fray and OneRepublic. Their live performances give you the overwhelming feeling that they love being on stage together and couldn't be doing anything else. Shows are slick, captivating and seemingly effortless. They're the new kids on the block who have achieved an impressively professional sound both live and in the studio. Their sights are set high and they want to achieve as much as is humanly possible. World domination is not entirely off the cards.

Henry Boddy

My name is Henry Boddy aged 14yrs and I live in Crowborough, East Sussex.

I got my first guitar for £5 in a boot fair when I was 9 years old and taught myself how to play some basic chords.

My very first influence was hearing the riff from Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple and my interest grew from there. At 10yrs old I became the lead singer and guitarist in a scout band called The Allies, we mainly did rock covers but I also began writing my own songs and experimenting with new sounds. When I was 11yrs old, along with some members of The Allies, we started another band called The Flare, again I was the lead singer and guitarist and started to write songs more seriously and we played them at our gigs. We began doing gigs in and around local pubs, events, festivals and held our own christmas party at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells.

Even though I have performed with the bands, I also often perform as a solo artist with my acoustic guitar, playing my own songs in pubs, clubs etc. I did a course of guitar lessons and passed my grade 5 last year.

My song writing is improving all the time and I have so many different songs and tunes in my head, my aim is to write songs with catchy melodies and choruses as I want people to enjoy joining in. I am now in band of three

called Habit and I have written all the songs we play and perform. I still have the same drummer from The Flare and The Allies and we have recently recorded an EP of 4 songs.

I just love playing gigs whether on my own, or with the band. My latest songs have a real summery sound and one of my songs called 'Missing' has been chosen for the Forever Searching charity album, which is being released this summer.

My influences are Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Kate Nash, The Metros, Klaus and many more. I would love my future to be in music, performing big gigs and for people to sing along to my songs and have a good time!
