Headline Act: The Dead Stray

The Dead Stray are a 3 piece alternative rock band hailing from Kent, UK, formed of Brad King on vocals and guitar, Nik Jennings on guitar and Pieter Verbeelen on drums.

Their love and adoration for everything from the delta blues, the psychedelic sounds of the 60s and 70s, and right up to the modern day garage rock and blues bands can be clearly heard in thee music. Taking influences from these periods, but with the modern twist they infuse, their sound blurs the lines between gritty, soulful  music and commercial and accessible viability.

Since forming nearly 2 years ago they have released 2 EPs to date. The first being "Three Years", which they self-released and gained them their first initial fan base and support. The second “Tales” (Released June 2013), which was recorded at Toerag Studios with Grammy winning producer Liam Watson (The White Stripes, The Kills, The Soledad Brothers)

They have performed many gigs around Kent and London, including The 100 Club, The Dublin Castle, The Fiddlers Elbow and many more. They have also travelled to Belgium and Holland where they, amongst other gigs, headlined the Scream Tour and played at the WesSummer Breeze festival in Holland.

When Colours Collide

When Colours Collide is a band with their own particular style of melodic pop.

Hannah has been singing since the age of five, in everything from charity concerts and theatrical shows to a pop group that toured the country for two years. She began song writing at the age of 15 but it wasn’t until she teamed up with song-writing partner Luke, after meeting in a previous band, that everything came together. Luke’s catchy, harmonic rhythms and ‘twinkle fingers’ are the perfect accompaniment to Hannah’s beautiful, melodic vocals. Add Paul, with his Satriani guitar roots and fantastic technique, into the mix and you’ve got a fascinating combination that everyone describes as really different. One thing’s for certain, their sound will get your feet tapping.

Lou Rivers

Lou Rivers has been enchanting audiences with his acoustic style across the South east since his early teens. Now through time spent studying a Songwriting degree at the British Institute of Modern music, and the life experiences that came as a result, Lou has both broadened and honed his unique style.

Having taken a break from live performance to refine his songwriting, Lou is keen to return to the stages which in the past have included the Tunbridge Wells Forum and the London Troubadour.

His sound is comparable to the likes of Elliott Smith, Radiohead, Beck and Neutral Milk hotel, but is constantly taking inspiration from sources both in and outside of music.

Lou is currently working on a Solo EP followed by plans for a 2016 album release, whilst working alongside musicians of all genres as he completes his degree.

The Floodgates

Soundwave - "You - a warm bluesy tune with enough scope to get you through any day of the week."

Backseat Mafia - "A simply great, uplifting and easy to listen to band."

Originally starting out as a folk duo at the beginning of 2013, The Floodgates is the brainchild of 17 year old singer/lead guitarist Martin Stenning, and bassist Tim Fullbrook. "We just dabbled with the idea of playing together. We started with YouTube cover videos of Mumford & Sons in the garden and...ran with it." A year on, their success has become much more than an idea. Now teamed with Alex Wane on percussion as well as session players Sander Priston and Eden Fish on keys, the band has begun a new sound entirely. Combining folk and blues, it’s easy to hear their influences – Mumford & Sons, Paolo Nutini and Tom Odell. But it’s far more intriguing to hear their own, fresh approach. While they have the blessing of youth on their side - only being 17 years old and still tackling their A Levels - there is also a maturity to their sound that fits together perfectly, making it clear these boys stand out of the herd.

A few hours busking in London caught them enough attention to be personally invited along to Heavyweight boxing champion, David Haye’s gym to play at an open day, and they haven’t looked back since. In just one year, they have gone from their YouTube videos to headlining shows around the country, releasing their debut EP 'God Knows', helming a vastly growing online presence and planning a small Summer 2015 Tour, showing that in the upcoming months; The Floodgates are one to watch.

New Single 'You' out now. Available to download on iTunes and stream on Spotify.
