Dorey The Wise

Dorey The Wise was created by it’s two frontmen, Aidan Tigwell (vocals, guitar) and Chris Georghiou (vocals, guitar). They both auditioned for the musical RENT, accepting the two main roles, Mark and Roger; they were then aware of the similar musical interests they both possessed. With happy rhythmic guitar and quirky lead riffs, Dorey The Wise was formed to make you, as an audience feel happy!

Dorey The Wise then became most well known for not only their unique, feel good style of performance but their banter between songs; similar to the likes of Flight of The Conchords, their interaction with the audience is a key item to their overall performance.

After 6 months of playing together, they entered Hastings Talent Show, winning the top prize of £200, Aidan’s height in Domino’s pizza (6ft 3”) and a chance to finally record their first EP.

After another 6/7 months of gigging as a duo, they agreed it was time to step things up a notch and introduce two more members to the band; Mason ‘Derulo’ Holmes (bass guitar) and Elliot Lampitt (drums/percussion); allowing the band to have more energy and sound.

Although well supported in the town of Hastings, Dorey The Wise thought it was time to take things to higher places, which is where Local & Live came to mind. Coming towards the summer of 2011, Dorey The Wise will be recording their new EP which will feature the full band and consist of around 5 tracks. Viva La Dorey!!!
