The next Local & Live Sessions takes place on Saturday April 20th and features popular local groups The Soundcasters and The David Mumford Band. Support comes from The Paul Dunton Orchestra. Paul says "The Soundcasters are one of the most entertaining live bands I have ever seen. Their vibrant, upbeat rock/pop style has a real funky edge and their melodies are incredibly infectious! Influences include The Kinks, The Rolling Stones and The Artic Monkeys. David Mumford is a superb singer-songwriter; he is influenced by the likes of Simon & Garfunkel and John Martyn, however David has a style and grace all of his own that truly deserves to be heard.".

Doors open 7pm, music from 8pm. Tickets are now available from the Trinity theatre box office over the counter, online or by phone.

10pm — The Soundcasters      www.thesoundcasters.co.uk

The Soundcasters are an exciting four-piece indie band from Maidstone in Kent. They are aged between 20 and 22 and though still young, they have a mature, distinctive sound. They have a unique and varied style of song writing which marries various styles of pop, jazz, reggae and rock resulting in catchy, memorable tunes with well written lyrics. Their music is intelligent, energetic, and fun. The Soundcasters have wowed audiences at the infamous Cavern Club in Liverpool as well as London venues such as The Barfly, Bull and Gate, Hope and Anchor and the Dublin Castle. They have also performed at festivals such as Togfest and Lounge on the Farm alongside Toots and the Maytals and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, the Local and Live Festival at Tunbridge Wells. The Soundcasters have been interviewed on the radio, and had their music played both on KMFM and BBC Radio Kent. The band featured in an episode of the Channel 4 documentary ‘Amish: Worlds Squarest Teenagers’ and in 2011 they filmed for a Sony advert at Brixton O2 Academy.
The band currently has endorsements from ESP guitars and Mapex drums and is supported by ‘React’ Energy Drinks.

9pm — The David Mumford Band www.facebook.com/davidmumfordmusic

David will be launching his debut album, ‘Bonfire Music’, at the Local & Live Sesions at the Trinity Theatre on 20th April. The culmination of ten years of songwriting, this album charts the journey of a foolhardy boy in his quest for adulthood, as he sets out to the dark heart of the forest, where he means to build a bonfire and burn all the stories of his young life. It weaves together nursery rhymes with old blues fables, songs of fear and regret with those of hope. David supported Joan Armatrading when she played at the Assembly Halls in November 2012, and has also been involved with BBC Radio and BBC Introducing. He will be joined on stage by Mike Wilton, Henry Willard, and Poppy Alice. The very first copies of 'Bonfire Music' will be available for sale on the night, so make sure you don’t miss out!

8pm — The Paul Dunton Orchestra     www.pauldunton.co.uk

The Paul Dunton Orchestra will open proceedings at 8pm. Paul’s music is best described as an atmospheric fusion of alternative/pop and classical. He composes and performs both instrumental pieces and songs. Following his 3 previous album releases; ‘Ordinary Guy’, ‘Train of Thought’ and live album ‘Escapism’, Paul recently released his first EP entitled ‘The Sirens ‘which is available for purchase at live performances and downloads are available at Itunes and all good online retailers. The EP features Paul’s Orchestra which comprises a line-up of up to 8 violins & 4 Cellos, guitar, double-bass and flute and female vocalists; Charlotte Andrew, Jenny Maslin and Poppy Alice. 2011/2012 has been a busy period for Paul and The Orchestra with successful tours to America and Germany and the release of a new live studio video on Youtube entitled ‘Wasting My Time’. Paul recently supported Joan Armatrading on her UK tour and last week both he and the Orchestra were featured on BBC Radio 2 by way of interview clips and airplay of current single ‘Don’t Forget’.
