Nathan Lee and the Shrunken heads are a three piece core outfit consisting of Nathan Lee (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Tom McHugh (lead and rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Pete Speed on drums and all things rhythmic. Started from an idea by Nathan lee in the early part of this year as a vehicle to present his songs and put a unique slant on some cover material. The band has an open attitude towards music and fuse together to bring positivity and creativeness to their live performing. All members of the Shrunken Heads have honed their musical abilities in previous bands from solo performances to local bands and session work. Looking forward, the band is focused on playing larger concerts and festivals, which will hopefully lead on to recording an album. The band decribes themselves in their own unique words...."Our hobbies include calculating payload weights for space rockets, gardening & bird watching. We have a strong dislike of orthodontic corrective work!"

Chiddingstone based duo Ant & Fie are Anthony Vicary (guitar and vocals) and Fiona Keeler (vocals & Piano.) Anthony was previously the frontman of local indie/rock band ‘Catching Flies'. After five years of rigorous performing all over the southeast it was decided that the band had reached a natural end leading Anthony to put down his electric guitar and explore the acoustic side of rock music. With Fiona joining more recently, this talented duo have fused together to emerge as one of the most talented and highly respected acts at the show here at The Grey Lady. Their breathtaking vocals express creative and thought provoking lyrics coupled with crafted melodies which comprises elements of folk, blues and alternative acoustic rock. The duo enjoyed their radio debut earlier this year with a recent live performance of ‘Tobacco Stained Guitar' on BBC Radio Kent. They have just released their debut EP entitled ‘The Quiet'.

I am currently working with producers on my songs, ultimately working on producing a five track EP album; my main goal is to gain representation through a record label, so that I can release my music, to have a marketing plan to go with this, and to get songs released and on the radio. I have had songs played through internet radio stations; I also have a myspace site, among other promotional tool sites, which are updated regularly and are listed below. At this present time I have been asked to sing for functions, pubs and other music venues, performing my own material and covers. I perform in pubs, festivals and venues locally at present, and have been promoting the release of the single 'Travelling,' produced by Forbes Coleman (FC Music Project). This is now available from ITunes, and other downloadable sources. I will be promoting my next single ‘Freefalling’ once available. My aim will again, be to promote this single through radio play; and it will be made available to buy online. I will soon be working on my next project which is to complete and make available for download a 5 track EP of my music.
Along with producing a five track EP, I have been recording an acoustic album, to sell at gigs. The idea of this album is that it is our live performance sound. This may appeal to anyone who prefers the acoustic, folk music sound. The album ‘Freefalling’ will be made available to buy at gigs shortly.
My own experience in music and the performing arts have been varied; I have performed over the years, in shows, and my own material. The places I have performed in include: Glyndebourne Opera House, Chequers Mead, East Grinstead, Lewes Town Hall; Ireland, London and for functions, and festivals. I am currently in two duos; one of which is a cover duo, and the other I promote my own music through. At present I am in the process of creating a band to accompany me performing my own material. I hope to be performing regularly locally and nationally, showcasing my music through recitals, and further performances.
I am at present taking my final year at Brighton Institute of Modern Music studying for (BA Hons) Professional Musicianship (vocals). This course allows me to work on my professional goals as a singer-songwriter.
I have also just completed a Music Production FDA with Sussex Downs College, Eastbourne.

Two years ago 15 year old Will Sid Smith of Tonbridge picked up his brother’s discarded guitar and began strumming. Immediately bitten by the bug he took lessons for some months and played for his own amusement. Last year Will was inspired to write his first song and since then his catalogue has grown rapidly. Will has performed live at local concerts, in bars, at charity events and at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells, usually performing his own compositions but occasionally covering songs by a diverse range of artists. Will’s voice has a distinctive tone producing a unique sound and his lyrics show a surprising maturity. Whilst unsure of his genre he has been told that Acoustic Rock with a hint of soul best describes his music.
