Coca Jem is a unique vocalist and lyricist, based in London and Kent Coca has collaborated with several other musicians including renowned guitarist Andy Vickery to create a vibrant contemporary blues/rock style. Jennie has been writing songs for a number of years, however it is only within the last year that she has begun to perform them publicly, predominantly at acoustic venues and music events in and around Tunbridge Wells including a recent debut at Paul Dunton's showcase at The Grey Lady Music Lounge. Jennie's song writing is heavily influenced by the lives and experiences of those to whom she is closest and with great insight her lyrics provide a refreshing depth and honesty while her songs walk the tightrope between desperation and hope. Although occasionally choosing to perform on her own with either guitar or piano, Jennie's regular accompaniment is provided by Tom Heaseman (percussion) and Luke Bacon (guitar/backing vocals) who were formerly members of popular local indie rock band Tehillah Commission.
Ollie gave his first public performance as a Cub Scout aged 8. The only way was up. Equally at home with piano or guitar he has been performing covers in his distinctive vocal style for a number of years. Having spent the last year or so writing his own material he is keen to get out there and try it out on the unsuspecting public. His music is influenced by artists such as John Mayer, Bruce Hornsby and Jason Mraz.
Ben moved down South from Manchester two years ago, and has been writing and performing his own music for seven years. He is best known for writing high octane musical theatre having won the PMA writer's award in 2002 and being crown European Gay Playwright of the year 2005. His most recent production of "The Case of the Blue Oyster Gang" was on in New York at Christmas and was recommended as a must see by the NY British Culture Examiner. Ben has been described as "Prodigiously talented" by the Scotsman, and has won five star reviews in the Times, Guardian and Telegraph. He branched out into writing stand alone music when he became the producer of Manchester's successful alternative "Cabaret of Ida Bucket" in 2005, and later becoming a transfering his acts to Bristol's "Invisible Circus". He can still be heard performing as a Jungle MC under the name Wilberforce Brown but is now hoping to spread his more acoustic music around the South. He lists his influences as They Might be Giants, Richard Carpenter and Stephen Swartz.
