Headline Act: Cyrano

Originally formed as a three piece back in 2001, indie rock band Cyrano soon became a foursome with the addition of lead guitarist, Karl Barton. From this moment on, their sound was born. With influences from bands like Pearl Jam and Elbow, Cyrano have crafted a unique blend of thoughtfully written songs, rock guitars and Tom Yorke-esque vocals resulting in a hugely melodic sound. The band are currently recording their second album in Assault and Battery Studios in London. Their first album "I, You, Us, Them" is available to buy on CD and iTunes. The band’s line up is Joe Ackerley on Vocals and guitar, Matt Wilson on drums, Tim Hubbard on bass and vocals, and Karl Barton on lead guitar.

Lo! Behold

Born in London and raised in Sevenoaks, Lo was introduced to the Beatles at age five and rapidly developed her first musical obsession. Studying classical piano into her teens, she expanded her tastes to take in Kate Bush, the Smiths and Regina Spektor. Her sound is one of contrasts, between her haunting yet honeyed voice, her dark and desolate lyrics, the warmth of her piano; her songs too transform autobiography into more abstract imagery.

Lo has received airplay on BBC Kent and BBC6 Music. She was invited, as part of BBC Introducing, to the Introducing Masterclass at Abbey Road and Maida Vale studios and her performance for Tom Robinson was featured on the BBC website . More recently she was selected to take part in the Mayor of London's Big Busk competition which saw her busk at the O2, amongst other famous London landmarks.

Chris Pope

Emerging on the local singer/songwriter scene over a decade ago after a number of years playing in cover bands, Chris was quickly hailed as “an inspiring modern day troubadour who pens lyrics of real substance and meaning.” His music was described as “touching on themes and experiences that people are genuinely able to relate to and which capture the attention of his audience from the very first note, whether listening to him live or on one of his recordings.”

10 years later despite a long battle with tinnitus, the above remains as true as ever but with the added depth and insight that another decade of life experience brings. He has played regularly in the UK as well as at the fringe at SXSW and a number of venues in around Dallas and Austin. He is also one of the very few artists to have been played every Local & Live festival.

“That Magic Feeling” and “Summer Sun” have already been nominated for best pop song at the Exposure Music Awards, an organization dedicated to promoting the best new bands in the UK. Pepsi Max used the videos the band made for Live in the Loos (Ep) as a sample of what they were looking for in their Max It Legends competition in 2010. They also used pictures of the band playing live in their online adverts for the competition.

British Clothing firm Jack Wills have used two of the bands track in online adverts.

Great indie pop/rock band, you'll see them in a number of forms. Whether it's their electrifying full band show or their stripped acoustic setup with banjo, accordian and double bass... you're in for a load of fun with this band!
