ARCELIA was formed in the summer of 2010 between 3 professional musician friends based in Kent – Gavin, Simon & Teresa.
GAVIN ALEXANDER attended Newcastle College of music and studied guitar under James Birkett, developing his harmonic and melodic ideas while studying at GIT, London. He has been a successful singer/songwriter for many years, recently collaborating with the likes of Chris Sheehan, Sandy Nuttgens and Geoff Martyn and his song ‘Blossom’ has been recorded by The Flying Pickets on their ‘Big Mouth’ album in 2008.
SIMON FOSTER is a hugely experienced singer and has been working within the music industry for over 20 years covering most areas of the business. These include directing and performing in the smash West End show ‘The Blues Brothers’, all areas of live production with artists including George Michael, Natalie Imbruglia, Bond and Zucchero as well as on major music events such as the MTV Music Awards and the Vodaphone Summer Festival. He was also Sound Designer on the award winning TV series ‘Sky Arts Theatre Live’. Simon is a member of the international acapella group The Flying Pickets, touring to packed houses across the world.
TERESA GALLAGHER began singing with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra then went on to become a professional actress and singer in plays and musicals across the country. She is regarded as one of the top voice artists in the country, voicing a huge range of commercials, Radio 4 dramas and audio books (her reading of Dickens’s Bleak House was The Sunday Times audiobook of the year). She has also provided a host of voices for many hit TV animation series. Currently showing is The Octonauts, Everything’s Rosie, Alphablocks, Poppy Cat, The Amazing World of Gumball, Thomas and Friends and The Hive.
